Top Ways You Can Have A Glowing Skin

We all look at people with clear skin and wonder what they do to keep their skin glowing. They may naturally have glowing and clear skin or they may adopt a few practices which make their skin this clear.

Getting the luminous look is everyone’s aim but achieving it looks difficult. You can search the entire internet and all you get is slim pickings. Glowing skin is a sign of a healthy and vital state of the body. Dull or dry skin does not make you feel the best version of yourself.

So here are some tips and tricks that will help you in getting the glowing and radiant skin you have always wanted –

  • Drink Water

Your organs – including the skin – absorb the moisture from the water that you drink and function through the rest of the day.

Every day aim to drink at least 6-8 glasses of water. This will help in getting rid of all the toxins from your body and give it a natural glow. Avoid the consumption of diuretics like coffee and alcohol as they can dry your skin.

  • Exercise

Running, jogging or just mere walking will give your body the necessary blood circulation. Sweating is very important to get healthy and glowing skin.

Yoga is also a great way to get rid of the toxins circulating in the body. Yoga shifts our focus on the breathing process and so every time you exhale, you get rid of toxins from your body.

Yoga and the continuous focus on the breathing cycle cleanse your body, making it energized and refreshed.

  • Healthy Diet

Healthy nutrients and proteins provide a hand of assistance in achieving radiant skin. Eating fresh, clean, and juicy food along with a balanced diet that includes proteins, vitamins, fruits, and leafy vegetables can aid in getting glowing skin.

  • Virgin Coconut Oil

Though coconut oil has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and healing properties it is not suitable for every skin type. It can clog pores which may lead to acne. So if you have oily skin, avoid using coconut oil.

But if you are apart from the people who have allergies and oily skin, then coconut oil can be one of your best friends. You can use it to take off makeup, soothe your skin barrier, and promote dewy-looking skin.

Many pieces of research have shown that coconut oil can be used as a good moisturizer. Massage a small amount of it on your face, leave it on for a while to allow it to get soaked, and then wash it off with a gentle cleanser.

  • Avoid Smoking

Smoking is already injurious to health but it also reduces the blood flow to the skin. Blood circulation to the skin is very important as it helps in collagen production. Without it, skin looks dull, and dry and develops wrinkles and fine lines.

  • Aloe Vera

Aloe vera has healing properties and soothes skin by stimulating new cell growth. It soothes and moisturizes without clogging any pores. To get glowing skin, use aloe vera after washing your face.

Some people are allergic to aloe vera, so before applying it to your entire face, test it out by applying it on your forearm. If there is no allergic reaction, then you can use it on your face.

  • Wash Your Face

Over the day, makeup, dirt, and oil build up on your face. So you must clean your face at least two times a day – once in the morning and once at night – to remove these impurities.

Remove your makeup using a makeup remover. It will prevent your pores from clogging up and causing breakouts. Use a cleanser apt for your skin, for example, if you have dry skin, use a cleanser for dry skin.

Also, the cleanser must be gentle as you do not want it to strip your skin of natural oils. Avoid using the cleansers around your eyes too much as the area around your eyes is very delicate.

Rinse the cleanser from your face. Do not use a washcloth or rag as they are harsh on the skin. Instead, pat your face dry. Do not roughly rub it with a towel.

  • Exfoliate Your Skin

An exfoliator helps in removing dead skin cells that build up over the skin pores over a while. Likewise, a chemical exfoliator containing glycolic acid removes all the dead skin cells and gives the skin a glow.

You must use a face scrub at least two to three times a week and a face peel at least once a week.

But do not exfoliate too much as exfoliating reduces the skin barrier and makes your skin dry or irritated.

  • Toner

Toners have had a bad reputation for a while now. But modern-day toners are better than before. Toners are used for hydrating the skin and better absorption of all the products that will be applied after it.

You can use a toner by putting a few drops on a cotton pad or your hands and then rubbing it over your face and neck. Use astringent face toner only when you have extremely oily skin as an astringent toner contains up to 60% alcohol. If your skin is already dry, then using an astringent toner will do more harm than good.

Apply toners over those areas which have the most breakouts such as the nose or forehead.

  • Moisturizer

After cleansing your face, you must moisturize and hydrate your face. Lotion in the morning also works as a primer and helps your makeup in sticking to the skin. Moisturizing at night helps your skin repair and avoid wrinkles.

For the day, use a lightweight moisturizer and if you are more prone to breakout then use gel moisturizers. Do not forget to apply the moisturizer on your neck as it can get dry and irritated.

  • Hydrating Face Mask

Make face masks a part of your daily night skincare routine. These masks help in improving the texture of the skin by making it moisturized.

Wrapping Up

Getting glowing skin is not as difficult as it seems. You just need to care for it.
